Classroom Audio Leader FrontRow to sponsor Petaluma Educational Foundation (PEF) Annual Event in support of grants and scholarships

The PEF Bash is an opportunity to gather as a community to celebrate and support all Petaluma K-12 public, private and charter schools.

Petaluma, Calif. (August 30, 2017)—At its core, FrontRow’s classroom audio technology is one of inclusion for all students and of enabling teachers to maximize students’ understanding of and engagement with their lessons. It is fitting that the education technology company, headquartered in Petaluma, California, would choose to support an event that helps even the playing field for students at schools impacted by budget shortages. This year, the PEF Bash is taking place on September 9, 2017.

“We are in alignment with PEF’s mission of enhancing and enriching the academic experience of more than 13,000 students in Petaluma’s 38 public, charter, and not-for-profit private schools,” said FrontRow President and CEO Jens Holstebro. “And we are honored to play a small role in PEF’s efforts toward this endeavor.”

In the “Teacher’s Pet” PEF Bash sponsorship category, FrontRow is accompanied by other philanthropic community organizations, including Comcast, Kaiser Permanente, Cinema West, and Friedman’s Home Improvement. “Our day-to-day operations serve one purpose: better education and learning outcomes for every student,” affirmed Holstebro. “Further supporting those goals in the community we are a part of makes all the sense in the world.”

PEF’s history dates back to 1982, when a group of teachers, business leaders and community activists in Petaluma convened to develop funding solutions for area schools in response to major budget deficits throughout the California school system. The outcome was the creation of the Petaluma Educational Foundation (PEF), a privately funded, non-profit organization whose primary goal is to raise money in the community to benefit education. The organization receives no public funding; it raises funds from individuals, corporations and foundations.

This year, PEF will surpass the milestone of more than $6 million in financial support for Petaluma students and schools since their foundation was launched in 1982.
