FrontRow Newsroom

The Building Industry Consulting Service International Organization?

25 February 2020|Hannah Olson

We've just returned from the bi-annual BICSI Conference and Expo (#BICSI) that took place in Orlando, FL earlier this month. 87 degrees and balmy. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.

1. What exactly is BICSI?

BICSI is a membership organization servicing professionals who work in the information technology systems (ITS) industry. Among others, our key customers at BICSI are professionals who work in the following categories:

  • Information Technology Systems
  • Cable Infrastructure
  • Security Systems
  • Construction
  • Facilities Management
  • Architecture
  • Audiovisual
  • Infrastructure Design
  • Building Management Systems
  • Network or System Integration
  • Project Management

2. Why is this group important to FrontRow?

FrontRow helps to build a more efficient learning environment.

Effortless communication within classrooms and across the district — FrontRow’s integrated, modular platforms make it possible. Our solutions are networked - and that's important to those in the ITS industry. We offer a cost-effective communication solution with our ezRoom AV control system. Teachers have access to controlling all of the technology in their classrooms, such as projector control and device management, making integration seamless and contributing to the most effective learning environment.

Our integrated school paging system, Conductor provides a powerful, networked solution that makes managing bell schedules simple and straight forward. Administrators can very easily make schedule changes, adapting to snow days, in-service days and more. Further, making public announcements to specified zones is as clear cut as pushing a button or making a phone call.

3. What did we do?

We partnered with Eric Marshall, RCDD, NTS - WPCS International, Inc., from Modesto, California and presented to group of consultants, engineers and installers: We Were Watching a Movie When the Emergency Happened.

Did you attend? What did you think? BICSI wants to know! http://www.bicsi.org/m/surveys.aspx
